Gastric Bypass surgery changed my life. I struggled with being overweight all my life. After failing at numerous diets the only option I had left was the surgery. I study all the pros and cons to the procedure, after extensive research and a lot of time on the phone I decided to have it done. I was referred to Dr. Carson Liu by a family member. I had been diagnosed with hypertension, sleep apnea, gerd, and border line diabetic. I traveled from Bakersfield, Ca. to Los Angeles, Ca. for a consultation. When I arrived Dr. Liu's staff was very kind and welcomed me with open arms. We scheduled the surgery for May 03, 2004.
When I arrived the day of surgery the staff again was very kind and made the experience a good one. Dr. Liu was assisted by another surgeon during the operation. I must say that these two doctors had some of the best bedside manner of any surgeon I have met. It has been 9 months since I had the surgery. During this 9 month time frame Dr. Liu 's staff has been absolutely great. In the past nine months I have lost 130 pounds and wouldn't change the decision I made to have the surgery for anything. I want to say thank you very much to Dr. Carson Liu and his staff. You have changed my life.
